I was walking around the local Zeller’s store the other day and one thing kept going through my mind.  The person who laid out the floor plan in the store was a king idiot.  What scares me, is that I think all the Zellers stores are done the same way in Calgary and probably Canada.  There’s a team of idiots.

Got lots of movies this week

It’s been a movie buying couple of weeks apparently.  They’re finally starting to release a bunch of titles on Blu-ray that I like.

I just got the Back To the Future trilogy yesterday from Amazon.  Had to watch that right away last night.  Great classics!  I was holding out against buying the DVD versions of those for when the blu-ray discs were released.  I’ll have to spend a few hours to watch the extras on the disks.

I picked up the Matrix and Spider-man trilogies a couple weeks back.

Got a new laptop!

Yeah, didn’t see that coming a couple weeks ago.

I was trying to install Windows 7 on my 5 year old HP Pavilion zd8000-ish laptop and it wasn’t going well.  It’s still a pretty good system and has run flawlessly for the 5 years.  But HP refuses to provide drivers for the audio and video hardware on it for any OS past XP. Continue reading →
